PASS PRESENT & FUTURE

With my experiments in regard to Stencil Fusion, I am attempting to explore idea's about archetypes as a single identity , within relationships, tribes, national groups or religion & on a planetary scale in regard to a global collective consciousness it is like a fractal, a continually reappearing  image . For example when two people are in love they keep the relationship alive by going out of their way for their partner  to keep the spark alive, the flame of  love. This flame or spark is the archetype within the relationship but when the flame dies out the archetype within the relationship dies out. The same archetypes are created within tribal groups, national groups, planetary groups etc all the way to universal groups, which in its most basic form is the mathematics of fractals.
This fusion is of Maori chief Natai from 1800's & a portrait of myself, this an experiment of the pass & present , a metaphysical study into the idea of the ancestors that made my existence possible. The half face covered represents a fork in the road a new cultural shift the colonial migration to New Zealand by Europeans.

Stencil fusing is my attempt to discover the most basic forms of the archetype - ex man fused with machine or the silicon circuity of technology, the idea of Transhumanism -  mankind's quest for immortality . The relationship of this fusion forms an archetype perhaps a ego driven god that no longer depends on materialism to express itself, it becomes the new expression of power. The idea came from reading up on Transhumanism check out Dr Joseph Farrell & Dr Scott de Hart

I did a stencil workshop at the Venny in North Melbourne with kids aged from 7 to 16, the kids went ballistic with the spray paint creating this awesome mural probs the best workshop Ive ever done & there was heaps of food there as well.

My friend Doyle hooked me up with a stencil workshop for Signal in Melbourne city, these kids cut out some awesome stencils .

Young people are our future & I think its important to pass on knowledge that I have acquired over the years specially for those who are willing to learn. Just like when I was a kid, to have some one to teach or encourage me to expand on creative side is a bonus to return that favour .

AUSTRALIAN SUNWORSHIP

I did a bit of sun worship while back in Australia it all started off in Mildura where I hung out with Junky Projects, the infamous Braddock & Kieran Mangan where we discussed topic's dealing with aliens farming the human race, ufo's & alien corporations etc while enjoying a nice 37 decree day & 24 at night while trying to spot UFO's through my telescope
This my friend Kieran & his partner Jimi

This stencil of Kieran is a 7 layer stencil which contains 800 left hand cuts & 819 right hand cuts to produce this image & Jimi which is also a 7 layer stencil contains 361 left hand cuts & 372 right hand cuts
This is a stencil fusion of the 2 portraits fused together

This is a false god erected by aliens in Mildura it gives humans cancer

these aliens where spying on us in Mildura so I split back to Melbs

I jumped on a plane to Townsville where I did a stencil workshop at Pinnacles Gallery for 2 days which was really awesome to pass on a bit of knowledge to people wanting to learn more from "the laugh factory"  (its a pataphor for HAHA)

here's some of the stencils that where cut out

I also gave artist talks while up in Townsville, 2 at local high schools & 1 at the Perc Tucker Regional Gallery where I spoke about my art practice to a full house of around 80 people

Then I jumped on a plane to Brissy then cruised up to the Sun Shine Coast to enjoy more glorious Sun Shine went swimming twice a day while there, hungout with my brother & his family
I cut a stencil of 1 of his daughters this is a stencil of Ava

I also bumped into my good friend Ben Frost on the Sun Shine Coast this is a foto with the crocodile hunter in the back ground he's like a god up this way,
